Welcome to the McDowall Ward Website

I’m sure you would agree the area covering McDowall Ward is a fantastic part of the City. With a wonderful mix of quality neighbourhoods, bushland, picnic areas, walking tracks and open space, the ward is one of the most desirable locations to call home within Brisbane.

As your local Councillor I am constantly endeavouring to make McDowall Ward a better place in which to live by upgrading parks with the latest playground and exercise equipment and keeping our roads to a high standard. This is why Council will be resurfacing Rode, South Pine and Beckett Roads along with many suburban streets this financial year.

Development within the local area is always a concern and under the State government’s requirement to infill our city with 156,000 more dwellings, a balance needs to reached. This is constantly a challenge.

Our local churches, schools and community groups are some of the best you will find across our great city and I am always impressed with the efforts of those associated with these groups.

This new website will give you better access to these groups, Brisbane City Council, and a snapshot of what is happening in McDowall Ward and across Brisbane.

Regards

Norm Wyndham
