Footpath Upgrades

Over the past few weeks we have been working on upgrading some local footpaths within the ward. Footpaths are always a contentious issue with those who want one in their street and those who see it as not warranted. As with all issues which affect local residents consultation is a important part and often it is through consultation that things are changed.

Footpath upgrade for Aspley

Lord Mayor Graham Quirk is delivering another key suburban infrastructure upgrade in a bid to make Brisbane’s footpaths safer and more accessible. Local Councillor Norm Wyndham (McDowall Ward) said Council was about to start work on a footpath upgrade along the western side of Gympie Road at Aspley between Albany Creek Road and the Robinson Road intersection.
